We provide a regional service and are pleased to accept
work from London, Middlesex or Surrey, as long as the
output is in English.
Written quotations will be provided
upon request. Once a project has been accepted, a signed
Agreement will be required between the client and The
Finishing Touch. The Agreement will provide details
of the task and any specific requirements, and indicate
the clients' acceptance of our standard Terms &
Conditions.
Please note - If the clients'
original requirements change, we reserve the right to
amend the original quotation after appropriate consultation.
Payment Terms
For individuals, payment is due
upon delivery of satisfactory completed work. For amounts
less than £10, payment in cash is acceptable and
a receipt will be issued. For amounts more than £10,
cheques are acceptable provided they are supported by
a valid cheque guarantee card.
For companies, an invoice will be
submitted at the end of each month.
Terms are strictly
14 days from the date of the invoice.
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue
amounts at the rate of 3% per month on the outstanding
balance from the date of the invoice until the date
of payment. If a cheque is returned by the bank, the
client will be responsible for all bank charges resulting
from the returned cheque.
General Terms
For bulk mailings our quotation
will include printing, folding and stuffing envelopes
but NOT the cost of postage. You may wish to put the
envelopes through your franking system to ensure your
company name is printed on the envelopes. However, if
you require us to post everything for you, all
postage costs must be paid in advance.
Final responsibility for proof-reading
errors in completed work (including manuscripts, dissertations
etc.) rests with the client. The Finishing Touch cannot
accept responsibility for errors found after submission
but will gladly correct any mistakes found within a
reasonable timescale. If errors are found in the work,
they will be rectified free of charge but they must
be notified within 48 hours of receipt of completed
work.
The Finishing Touch accepts no responsibility
for the end use of any document produced or edited by
it. Clients are solely responsible for its appropriate
use, including abiding by any copyright laws, plagiarism
laws and publishing requirements. The Finishing Touch
is not responsible for the content of any document supplied
to them. Clients should not pass off plagiarised material
as their own original work. The Finishing Touch will
assume no responsibility for any plagiarised material
supplied by a client and reserves the right to return
the work should The Finishing Touch become aware of
such inappropriate use. The Finishing Touch retains
the right to reject work for any client which involves
material The Finishing Touch finds to be illegal, immoral
or objectionable.
Should any errors be found in the work, the maximum
liability of The Finishing Touch, howsoever arising,
shall be limited to any sums paid by the client for
the work. Under no circumstances will The Finishing
Touch assume liability for any consequential loss whether
it has been made aware of the circumstances which could
give rise to such loss or not.
It is the policy of The Finishing Touch, in the current
climate of prolific computer viruses, to scan all incoming
emails, files or disks. However, even after scanning
we will still not open unsolicited attachments to emails
or emails containing no message alongside the attachment.
Emails that The Finishing Touch sends to clients will
have been scanned using up-to-date anti virus software,
but The Finishing Touch does not warrant that such emails
will be virus free.
The Finishing Touch retains back-up copies of client
files for the clients future use. Clients should, however,
retain their own copies of all work carried out for
them by The Finishing Touch. We advise all clients that
original documents should be sent to The Finishing Touch
via a traceable method of delivery, either by post office
special delivery or courier, or can be collected by
The Finishing Touch subject to an appropriate charge.
